Ron Desantis Signs Bill to Help Integrity of Florida Elections

Florida Governor Ron Desantis’ hand has to be getting tired at some point. The man has already signed two bills lately, with one banning young children to be taught outrageous sexual identity classes in schools and the other that strips Disney of their special tax incentives.

Recently, Desantis put into effect a special police force dedicated to the integrity of voting elections. This will help crack down potential voter fraud and other misuse of voting.

Voting Legislation Becomes Focus

The recent signing into law, S.B. 524, will further put Florida ahead of other states in the voting category. The law is now the “Office of Election Crimes and Security” to help combat voter fraud.

This will be used to investigate potential voter fraud and strengthen identity checks for mail in ballots. In addition, the crime for ballot harvesting has gone from first-degree misdemeanor all the way to a third-degree felony, which can be punishable by up to five years in prison.

Desantis Continues to Make Great Presidential Case

Desantis has flirted with running for President in 2024, but has not yet publicly declared. In the meantime, he continues to push the state of Florida in a positive direction.

He took to Twitter to elaborate on his recent bill signing. He even poked at the term “Zuckerbucks”, which was money used to potentially help voter fraud in the 2020 presidential election.
