Levi’s Showing their Woke Colors
The Levi Strauss company, president and CEO Chip Bergh continue to make headlines for the wrong reasons. They believe they have a responsibility to create change in the world with political attention rather than sell clothes.
Instead of making jeans the priority of their business, they have pushed for progressive policies. Even further, they have teamed up with certain organizations and targeted their own employees who view differently than they do.
CEO Ruining the Company
Bergh is the driving factor and face for pushing these woke views for the brand. It has been shown that they have been working with Everytown for Gun Safety, which is a liberal group that wants to create more strict gun control.
Levi’s brand also signed the “We Stand For Democracy” advertisement that featured in the New York Times. It attacked various election integrity actions, which Bergh went on further to attack Georgia’s laws and call them racist.
In addition, Bergh has stated that Levi’s will continue to make sure that “restrictive laws do not go into place”. This does not bode well with keeping elections secure while a company is attacking those practices.
Levi’s Attacking Own Employees
Levi’s has attacked their own employees for their different beliefs. Jennifer Sey, for example, questioned why Levi’s paid out millions to shareholders in the form of dividends and continued to furlough employees.
As a result, Sey was bullied by a woke mob at work to force her out of working. She had been there for over 20 years and was even offered a $1 million non-disclosure severance package for her silence, which she declined to take.
